Frequently Asked Questions
How many instructors do you have?
We currently have 7 available.
Do you give ground instruction?
Yes. We use a combination of online ground school with Cessna (King Schools) and support your knowledge with additional ground training.
Do you have aircraft to rent after I get my license?
Yes. The aircraft that are used for training are also available for you to rent at the rates listed above.
How long will it take to get my license?
That depends on how often you fly and how much time you spend studying. Typically figure about two hours of study for every hour of flight. Most people can achieve their Private Pilot Certificate in two or three months if they fly two or three times a week consistently and do the appropriate amount of ground study.
Do I need to have a Medical Certificate?
Yes. Private Pilot Certificate requires that you hold at least a Third Class Medical to exercise your privileges.
Do I need to take any exams?
Yes. Your ground study will prepare you to take an FAA written examination of 60 questions. You will have 2 ½ hours for the exam and must pass with a score of 70% or greater.
