So, it’s time to get that multi-engine rating. We’re here to make that happen! Columbia Jet Center uses the Tecnam P2006T which is now considered the premier multi-engine trainer in the US and Europe.
Airlines are looking for pilots who have
- 1,500 total Airplane hours
- Commercial ASEL and Instrument Airplane Ratings
- Commercial Multi-Engine Rating with at least 25 hours Multi-Engine time
Multi-Engine Course Basics
- This rating is an add-on for your commercial single-engine certificate
- No knowledge test required
- No minimum time
- Flight and ground training to gain proficiency
- Checkride (practical test) with an Examiner
- Work with VFR and IRF operations
- Most of the training is getting used to additional systems and decisions while in flight
- Pilots are often ready for Checkride in 10-15 hours
