So, it’s time to get that multi-engine rating. We’re here to make that happen! Columbia Jet Center uses the Tecnam P2006T which is now considered the premier multi-engine trainer in the US and Europe.

Airlines are looking for pilots who have

  1. 1,500 total Airplane hours
  2. Commercial ASEL and Instrument Airplane Ratings
  3. Commercial Multi-Engine Rating with at least 25 hours Multi-Engine time

Multi-Engine Course Basics

  • This rating is an add-on for your commercial single-engine certificate
  • No knowledge test required
  • No minimum time
  • Flight and ground training to gain proficiency
  • Checkride (practical test) with an Examiner
  • Work with VFR and IRF operations
  • Most of the training is getting used to additional systems and decisions while in flight
  • Pilots are often ready for Checkride in 10-15 hours
